There is a lot on the internet about this one, like the others, but more to the point "it only trains local AI for Copilot." Regardless of your position, if you wanna shut that off, here are the steps to take, which are well buried.

  1. Open an M365 product, like Word
  2. File -> Options
  3. Trust Center -> Trust Center Settings
  4. Privacy Options -> Privacy Settings
  5. Optional Connected Experiences
    1. You can also uncheck any of the other options you don't want
  6. Restart to finalize (a pop-up will advise you on that too so you don't forget)
