Radio Numbering
Here is my radio numbering system, if you wanted to know. I went with 5 digit numbers for a couple of reasons:
- My primary use is on Cap+ (Single and Multi-Site)
- I don't have a lot of APX gear (I know, shocking)
- Room to grow if needed
WHAT | PREFIX | START | END |
All APX Devices | 311 | 00 | 09 |
XPR Portables | 311 | 10 | 19 |
XPR Mobile | 311 | 20 | 29 |
IONs | 311 | 30 | 39 |
TLK Device | 311 | 40 | 49 |
All Repeaters | 311 | 50 | 59 |
All Other Devices | 311 | 60 | 69 |
Did you know, for Motorola flavored things:
Conventional (Single Site & IPSC) radio numbering ranges from 1 to 16776415
Capacity Plus (Single Site & Multi-Site) radio numbering ranges from 1 to 65535
The numbering scheme is laid out in ETSI TS 102 361-1 Annex A if you were curious.
